Under the direction of the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, the Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for loading and unloading of trucks, material handling in between warehouse areas and manufacturing. Scheduling freight shipments with trucking companies as required. Coordinate shipments and deliveries with sales, customer service, and production. Operate fork lift truck, grip truck, and pallet trucks to transport materials. Tracking raw material and finished goods inventory using spreadsheets and company business systems. Cleaning and keeping warehouse areas organized.
- Unloading raw material deliveries and storing products in the warehouse.
- Delivering raw materials from the warehouse to production areas.
- Pick up unused raw materials and returning them to the warehouse.
- Picking up finished goods and storing in the warehouse.
- Completed Bills of Lading and other paperwork as required to make shipments.
- Coordinate with Production and Customer Service to schedule shipments and confirm inventories.
- Call trucking companies and logistics companies to schedule pick-ups.
- Use online services of UPS, FedEx and others to schedule pick-ups on samples and other small volume shipments.
- Tracking raw material and finished goods inventory for accuracy using spreadsheets, and BatchMaster as required.
- Demonstrate safe work practices, conform to safe rules, and avoid unsafe behaviors.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
