- Oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead production personnel on second shift.
- Manage staffing, labor allocation, and workflow to meet production schedules and customer demands.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees while implementing effective training and cross-training programs.
- Monitor production performance, productivity metrics, and equipment utilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize processes.
- Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are consistently met.
- Promote a strong safety culture through floor walks, audits, and enforcement of company policies.
- Investigate production issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS to support operational goals.
- Support the development and improvement of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
- Participate in hiring, employee performance management, and workforce development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated success in a production supervision or team leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing production schedules, staffing, and workflow.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work second shift.
Industry-specific experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates with strong manufacturing leadership experience from a variety of industries are encouraged to apply.
